No. The Chiropractic and the Osteopath both aim to put in place that which is out of place, to right that which is-wrong; but the Path- ology Diagnosis, Prognosis and Movements are entirely different. One of my patients, Mr. W. A. Casler, has taken both Chiropractic and Osteopoth treatments. The Chiropractic is ten times more direct in the adjustments and the results getting health ten times more thor- ough in one tenth of the time than an Osteopath would. E. Iverson. We believe that this whole mat- ter should be entrusted to an im- partial committee of experts and thoroughly sifted and investi- gated, in order that the truth may beknown as to these charges. The charges were first made in the heat of a gubernatorial -cam- paign; were rabidly upheld and circulated by one party, and bitterly derounced by the other. The people of the state, as well as the accused, are entitled. to know whether these charges are well founded, or whether they were inspired by the hope of political advantage to be gained. The legislature should set about the investigation of this matter in a manner which will give the people of Minnesota assurance of an, absolutely im- partial investigation, in a man- ner which will preclude the pos- sibility of whitewash as thorough- ly as it prevents political hatred from fastening an unjust charge upon an innocent official. Let us have the truth of the matter free from any taint of factional prejudice. Up to the People. It ought to be very plain to everybody by this time that there will be no railway rate legislation that will afford the country any relief by congress until the people tell their repre- seutatives that they must pass it or make room for men who will. As for the Pioneer, although a firm believer in republican prin- ciples, we are prepared to help elect a democratic congress if a republican congress will not go about this matter in earnest. The people of this country can have reform in railway rate any time that they want it, All that they have got to do is to make a united demand for it, and bills which now cannot get..through the United States senate in two- years, if at all, will be pass ed by that august body in two days. Why shouldn’t the railroads rob the people? The people do not seriously object. The rob- bery will go right on until we do seriously object. How long shall we be content to let the robbery go on? THE work accomplished by the ladies of Bemidji in organizing, maintaining and extending the public library has been an ex- traordinary success. A year ago Bemidji had no public lib- rary; today it hasa very good one, while the ladies library leagueis in a flourishing condition and there is every prospect that large additions will be made to the library during the year. The ladies have accomplished a great work in a short time. RuUsSIA is no more full of disor- ders today than it has been every day for years; the people have simply ‘taken courage to com- plain. May they. have courage to persevere.
