The first count of ballots cast in the piano contest now being given by the merchants of Be- midji was made this morning by Recorder H. W. Bailey. ’I‘he substantial vote is proof that much intevest is being taken in the contest. The firemen have much the lead so far, while the Catholic church also shows up a large number of yotes.
