Mr. John Willman has been nominated by the republicans of the county for county auditor. is a Norwegian Lutheran clergyman aud has preached and taught school in_different parts of the county. Heis a man . of good education, untiriug indus- try and unimpeachable integrity. Mr. Willman made a very thoro- ugh canvass of the county before his nomination and is known to most of the voters of the county. Those who have any acquaint- ance at all with him know that he possesses qualifications which fit him in an exceptional degree for the responsible duties of county auditor. This office is is one of tke most important in the county and upon the proper discharge of its duties much de- pends in the efficient and eco- nomical administration of the affairs of the county. This trust in Mr. Willman’s hands will be faithfully and efficiently dis- charged, and the people of the county will make no mistake in casting their votes for John Will- man for county auditor. GEORGE H FRENCH Republican Candidate for Coun- ty Treasurer. George H. French of Black- duck has been in charge of the funds of Beltrami county for the past few months, and he is now the republican nominee for that office. His administration of the office during the short time he has been in charge of it has been such as to inspire the con- fidence yf the whole people. Mr, French is unapposed for elec- tion but will doubtless receive a large vote simply as a token of the trust which the people of the county repose in him. = was last spring elected mayor of Tenstrike, than which there is no more energetic, vigorous, and growing town in the county. The contest for the nomination for register of deeds was a close and exciting one, but each of the candidates merited the respect of the remainder of the voters and all acquiescied in the deci- sion of the ballots. Mr. Harris will display as register of deeds the same diligence, energy and ability which has characterized him_ in his private affairs, and will faithfully and well discharge the important duties of the office,
