The readers of this paper will be pleased to learn that there is at least one dreaded disease that science has been able to cure in allits stages, and that is catarrh. Hall’s Catarrh Cure is the only positive cure now known to the medical fraternity Catarrh be- ing a constitutional disease, re- quires a constitutional treatment. Hall’s Catarrh Cure is taken in- ternally, acting directly upon the blood and mucous surfaces of the system, thereby destroying the foundation of the disease, and giving the patient strength by bulldmv up the constitution and assisting nature in doing its work. BAILEY RETURNS FROM A SEVERAL DAYS TRIP. Declares That Every Collins Sup- porter in Beltrami County Is For Dunn. L. H. Bailey has returned from a sevoral days visit to the twin cities and other points i sonth- ern Minnesota. Mr. Bailey de- clares that the tide of sentiment in that section of the state is strongly toward the republican nominee and says that there is a marked reaction in Dunn’s favor because of the abuse and villifi- cation which has been heaped upon him. In regard to the situation in Beltrami county Mr, Bailey says: “Beltrami will roll up a big vote for Robert C. Dunn. Mr. Dunn has made one of the best officials Minnesota has cver had. He is the nominee of the republican party and he deserves the vote of every republican and of every man interested in good govern- ment. This talk that Dunn was not fairly nominated is simply invented to help the democrats get into power. I wasa Collins man myself but I consider that the state convention treated the Collins men of Beltrami cousty and of all other counties with eminent fairness and I do not be- lieve that there isa Collins man in Beltrami county who is not today a warm supporter of R. C. Dunn. Mr. Dunn had a clear majority of the delegates in the state con- vention even without the con- d to the nomination. is a republican year and I look to see the biggest republican majorities that Minnesota has ever rolled up. The democrats for political purposes are making publican candidate for governor. If they can elect a governor this year, they will bein control of the machinery of the state and will be in a position to raise a big fund and make a winning fight for United States senator against Knute Nelson two years hence. But we should remember that the democrats cannot come with- in 60,000 yotes of electing a gov- ernor without republican votes. If we beleive in the principles of the democratic party let us vote the democratic ticket and vote it straight but if we are republicans wa are stepping on ourown toes if we scratch the head of the ticket or any name on it. Beltrami county needs a great deal of help from the state in the way of good roads and drainage. The bigger the majority we can give the repnblican ticket next month the better position will we be in when we appear before a republican governor and a re- publican legislature next winter with requests for favor. My trip around the state the past [ew days leads me to believe that Dunn’s majority will be be- tween 30,000 and 40,000 and I look to see 2,000 rolled up right here in Belorami county.” Cause of Lockjaw. Lockjaw, or tetanus, is caused by a bacillus or germ which ex- s plentifully in street dirt. 1t nactive so long as exposed to the air, but when carried beneath the skin, as in the wounds caused by percussion caps or by rusty nails, and when the air is ex- cluded the germ is roused to ac- tivity and produces the most vir- ulent poison known. These germs nay be destroyed and all danger of lockjaw avoided by ap- plying Chamberlain’s Pain Balm freely as soon as the injury is received. Pain Balm is an antiseptic and causes cuts, bruises and like injuries to heal without maturation and in one- third the time required by the usual treatment.
