Official County and City Paper SUBSCRIPTION $5 PER YEAR Corporation Dailiesvs Dunn Robert C. Dunn-has been se- lected as the victim of the most vicious and wicked personal at- tack ever made upon the charac- ter-of a candidate for office in Minnesota. He has been sland- cered brazenly. His splendid official record, the pride of Min- nesota republicans for the past three campaigns, has been dis- .|torted and falsified in the inter- est of his lying accusers. An effort has been made to make his most meritous services to the state appear in the light of dishonest official actions. Pub- lic Examiner Johnson has shown animus in every line and word of his several reports but he has not shown dishonesty of purpose or deed inany ofticial or personal action of Robert C. Dunn’s. Mr. Dunn has been accused of being a corporation candidate, but the corporations ownig daily newspapers in the Twin Cities are waging the bitterest war in the political history of the state against him. The St. Paul Daily Globe, absolutely owned and con- trolled by James J. Hill has been unrelenting in its attacks upon him and upon his record. The Minneapolis Times, well known to be the property of Thomas Lowry, president of the Twin City Rapid Transit company. has malignantly opposed him at every turn. The rancor of the St. Paul Dispatch, which is the property of the Twin City Rapid Transit company, has been no- table in the efforts that journal has made to discredit Mr. Dunn, Many of Mr. Dunn’s official ac- tions were misstated as favoring, the lumber ring, by Mr. John- son’s men and yet the Minneapo- lis Journal, the predominating influence of which is taken from that ring, has been splenetic in 1ts display of animosity against the former state auditor. Never has hostility been more bitterly manifested, or more unfairly ex- hibited than toward Mr. Dunn by these corporation newspapers, irrespective of the political affili- ations they claim. United States Senator Moses E, Clapp has declared himself for Mr. Dunn, and these enterpris- ing journals seeall their efforts to bring about hostility “between the two candidates brought to naught. State Auditor Iverson bhas denied absolutely all the charges made by Public Exam- iner Johnson and has supported hisdenials in detail by the most careful references to those seec- tions of Mr. Dunn’s record ex- pressly attacked by Mr. Johnson. Mr. Iverson shows that employes of the anditor’s office had at- tempted to explain certain terms used by cruisers to the assist- ants of Mr. Johnson, -and that the latter disregarded the ex- planations and rejected any en- lightening aid extended to them. Hence the silly -blunders that make them the laughing stock. of any ordidary woodsmen. Robert C. Dunn has answered his traducers, and has vindicated the faith held in him by the peo- ple of Minnesota. He has ac- counted well for his stewardship to the state.—Duluth Tribune. . In Praise of Chamberlain’s Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy. “Allow me to give youa few words in praise of Chamberlain’s Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy,” says Mr. John Ham- lett, of Kagle Pass, Texas. 1 suffered one week with bowel trouble and took all kinds of medicine without getting any re- lief, when my friend, C. Johnson a merchant here, advised me to take this remedy. After taking one dose I felt greatly relieved and when I had taken the third dose was entirely cured. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for putting this great remedy in the hands of mankind. For sal by Barker’s drug store. % NOTICE »¥OR PUBLICATION. Land Office at Cass Lake, Mina.
