WALKER, Agent, Violent Attack of Diarrheoa Cured by Chamberlain’s Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy and Perhaps a Life Saved. “A short time ago I was taken with a violent attack of diarrhoea and believe T would have died if I had not gotten relief,” says John J. Patton, a leading citzen of Patton, Ala. “A friend recom- mended Chamberlain’s Colie, Cholera-and Diarrhoea Remedy. I bought a twenty-five cent bottle and after taking three doses of it was entirvely cured. I consider it the best remedy in the world for bowel complaints. For sale at Barker’s drug store. Boost For Greeley, Editor A. M. Greeley formerly of this city is in Duluth on busi- ness and gets this pleasant note of appreciation in the Duluth News Tribune: Editor Greeley is the literary genius of his sec- tion of the country, and the wit, with which his b'wl(wnoda jour- nal shines in its weekly ues, would make very readable a para- graph and humorous column on the best of the metropolitan newspapers. His Backwoods Sketches, published at Bemidji and on the Big Fork, will have a little place in literature near the work of famous sketch writers. Mr. Greeley is destined to be- come one of the first of America’s press humorists if he works out his destiny, as it seems apparent he will in the near future. Taken With Cramps. Wm. Kirmse, a member of the bridge gang working near Little- port was taken suddenly ill Tnursday night with cramps and a kind of cholera. His case was =0 severe that he had tohave the members of the crew wait upon him and Mr. Gifford was called and consulted. He told them he had a medicine in the form of Chamberlain’s Colie, Cholera and Diarrhoca Remedy that he thought would help him out and accordingly several doses were administered with the result that the fellow was able to be around next day. The incident speaks quite highly of Mr. Gifford’s medicines.—Elkader, Lowa, Ar- gus. This remedy never fails. l\eep it in your home, it may save MANY WILL HUNT| Large Number of Sportsmen Will Leave Bemidji to Hunt Prairie Chickens. The season for hunting prairie chickens will open Sept. 1 and a large number of Bemidji spolts men will leave this city for points west on August 31 in order to be present at the first of the shoot- ing. Many parties are now be- ing organized and the exodus of sportmens will be large. One party has secured a permit from Agent Michalet of White Rarth to hunt on the reservation. An- other party will be composed of Hon, Halvor Steenerson, Wm. Blocker and Arne Solway and will hunt in the vicinity of Foss ton. C. M. Bacon has purchased an Irish setter which he expects t) use during the season, and Wmn. Duvcalf is the proud pos- sessor of a new English pointer which he recently pulchnsed for hunting this fall. I pourtics | of the pioneer residents of the county, he ftilled the office of register of deeds a long time when there was practically noth- ing in it and he has made an ex- ceptionally good officer. Work never drags in the register of deeds office and it is a decided satisfaction to those who have to business with the register’s office to secure it promptly and to know that no mistakes with important .documents are ever made in the register of deeds ion. The nomination of John A. Johnson by the democrats for governor appears to be a fore gone conclusion and not much interest is taken in the convention called for next Tuesday. Buena Vista looks pretty good 1w the candidates just now. A good many of them are on the ground today and all of them will be there tomorrow. Red Men Installed. One of my patients, Mr. W. A. Casler, has taken both Chiropractic and Osteopoth treatments.
