MiNNESOTA is fortunate to have as a candidate for the office of superintendent public instrue- tion so able a man as Sup’t. E. E. McIntyre of the Crookston schools. Mr. McIntyre has been superintendent of the Crookston schools but one year but his suc- cess in that position is evidenced by the fact that he was last spring reelected for a term of three years. Mr. MclIntyre was for thirteen years superinten- dent of the public schools at Glencoe. He is well known among educators throughout the state, was last year president of the state teacher’s association, has a splendid education, is a man of fine physique and pleas- ing address, a forceful speaker, earnest and thoronghly devoted to the work of education with an experience and an intimate knowledge of both the practical and the theoretical in an ideal man to take charge of the educational interests of the state. - vwvmvvwva BITSINORTH § 1% % | COUNTRY ¢ THE LM;&.&.&AM.&‘ The Rainy River Region de- fends Ed Warren with warmth. “There’s nothing at steak for the vegetarian.” ponders the Cass Lake Times. The Northland Farmer sets its sanction to the Little Fork valley as ‘“‘one of the finest in all Minne- sota.” There are farmers, and a good many of them, whose monthly check at the Verndale creamery amounts to more than $50. A four year old Becker county boy lost in the woods and after six days searching was found alive and well and as hearty as ever, having lived on raspberries and water. That’s the kind of kids we raise in Minnesota. Frank Eddy is not entirely free from troubles even though the governorship is decided. When he took charge of the”Sauk Centre Herald he wrote a nice piece about his name appearing at the head of the editorial column but the foreman forgot and put it there and Frank had to write an editorial explanation. The ex- planation didn’t look good in cold type and Frank wrote another. The foreman considerately pub- lished them both and Frank now wonders whether he had best at- tempt any more Eddytorials on the subject. Last sum- mer one of my children was taken with cholera morbus, and I pro- cured a bottle of this remedy. Only two doses were required to give her relief. I then decided to try the medicine myself, and did not use all of one bottle be- fore [ was well and I have never since been troubled with that complaint. ‘One cannot say too much in favor of that wonderful medicine.”” This remedy is for BALL MASON Fruit Jars. ‘—u.nd all— seasonable goods at prices that are Right.
