John Ross this afternoon brought to Bemidji perhaps the largest timber wolf ever killed in this vicinity. It was a female and weighed 75 pounds. The animal was poisoned in Clear- water county, a shortdistance from Bagley. Mr. Ross is mak- ing a business of hunting wolves, and this is the third he has been able to secure since Friday of last week. Two of the number were females. Attorney Henry Funkley of Blackduck . will be assisted by Attorney Chester McKusick of this city in an action for personal injuy against the M. & I. for Miss Astrid-Peterson—of Turtle River. Miss Peterson asks for $10,000 damages for injury sus- tained in being thrown from the train at Turtle River.
