SOUTH WASHINGTON NEWS The Woman’s Baptist Home Mission Society met at the Fourth Bapt. Church on Monday evening last, and was addressed by the secretary of the Woman’s Miesion Conference. Kev. R. 8S. Laws, who supported their plan for a musical and literary concert and exhibition, was jointly concurred in by both the members of the Mission conference, in the Zion Baptist Church on yesterday, and the society’s action of Monday tha 18th inst. The ministers conference con- vened on Monday morning last at 10 o’clock witn the president in the.chair and a full attendance. Much important discussion and work followel the many topical expositions of sermons: Geo. W. Lee, “Obedience to God’s law, subdue all immortality and in- temperance, and the accu3ation of the world against Christ.” J. H. Lee, of the Third church had able ministers with him on Sunday lastand did not preach himself. Revs. W. R Owen, J. D. Jackson, ot Ohio, and J, M. Shelly, of Wayland Seminary, were with him. A. S.
