A meeting of the table holders of the late F.ir for the benetit of tue Butler Z uaves, Major Fish- <r commanding, was helu at 1123 19th street n. w, Wednesday evening. Am. ny th se pre-ent wete: Mr. Coakley and daughtets, Mieses Sallie Crowner; Edmunds, Mr. and Mra. Lewis, and several others. The finances of the fair were discussed. and it was ascer- tained that Major Fisher was in no way responsible for the collec- tion of the funds. All the table holders were present except the line officers. Mr. Lomax, treas- urer cf the corps, did all the col- lectirg during the fair, and his accounts were found to be correct, which exonerates Major Fisher of all unfairness ora misappro- priation of the fonds. The ladies representing the different tubles say that Major Eisher had no.hing to do with the fair funds and the charges against him were actuated by prejudice. The charges were submitted to Genl. Ordway, but were ignored because they were not sustained The people of this city know Major Fisher to be an honest man and a brave eoldier who has received a medal ot honor for such bravery on the field of battle. Major Fisher has been honorably acquitted by the lad es of the fair committee and Gen. Ordway. A RESOLUTION. Whereas, Our pastor the Rev. J. R.
