The offic:rs and men of the Washington Cadet Corps are en- thusiastic over their trip to the Constitutional Centennial Celebra- tion at Philadelphia last week, and the treatment received on all sides while there. They were met at the depot at 430 a.m, bya detail of the Gray Invincib.es under the 1stSergt. Washington, and escorted to the quarters set aside for them at [125 Gi- rard Street. The escort waited until they had put off their equip ments, washed and brushed up, then escorted them to the armory of the Invincibles where a detail of the organization assisted dy a large committee of their lady triends had spread a_ splendid breakfast, most elegantly served, at two tables for the men, fticers aud honorary members, io which the hungry visitors did ample justice. ‘Ihis was no bare table, tin plate and cup racket, as “sol- diers fare.” The tables were spread with snowy clo'hes aud set with beautiful china and glass ware and ornamented with truits and ffowers. Atter breakfast all prepared for parade. At 10:30 the Gray In- vincibles repor.ed in a body with a mgniticent band of 30 instru- ments and escorted the Cadets tu their place in the line of parade.
