The chief topic discussed here is the approaching Nations! Union Convention, and the Mecca towards which thousands of citizens and strangers daily wend their way, is the great structure or wigwam in process of erection, on the corner of Twentieth street aud Girard avenue, The building, which is located ear the centre of some open lots has the «ppearance of « huge barn, flanked by low sheds on the eastern and western sides, The main portion consists ef @ transept two stories in height. Five large windows, above three spacious entrances, suitably ornamented, are sup ported by well lighted one story erections; the whole front measuring one bundred and forty-six The immense roofs are paper,and the interior ng rapidly, a large force of workmen being employed. The ground floor is to he arranged with thirty-six tiers of se: ach tier designated by the Coat of Armes of one of the States. Thus the delegations sent from cach State wil easily fod their respects places in the great hall.
