NEW YORK ANI) THE VICINITY. Tre Navan Dock Racr,—The steamers Algonquin and Winooski are still rumning on their Binety-aiz houre test. The engines of both vessels wore started at five o'clock p.m. (Monday |, each vee se! received 5,200 pounds of coal to start with, and are continuing to receive 1,600 pounds every hour whieh ie the given quantity that each vessel is allowed. At noon yesterday, the engines of the Winooski had made 17 285 revolutions, while those of the Algonquin had made 17,581 revolutions, showing a decided gain of 649 revolutions in favor of the Algonqgain. At3p. m the counter of the Winooski showing 19,999 revo. lutions, that of the Algonquin 20,474 making the Algonquin 745 turne ahead of the Winooski, Both engines @ otking finely, thoes of the Algonquin working much smoother than on her former trial.
