When resumed In Justice Alverson's part of Supreme Court this afternoon only six jurors had been chosen in the trial of five de- <fendants indicted last January on u {| charge of maintaining a monopoly in steam fitting supplies. Counsel for both sides expressed the opinion that it would take the rest of the day to select a jury. It was said the trial probably would last two weeks. The fiy lefendants are John T. Hettrick, Charles Witherspoon, John N. Imhoff, Martin MeCue and Louis Gebhardt. The chief difficulty experienced by counsel in selecting jurors is an ©: pressed favo antipathy to the wor ‘of the Loékwood Housing Committee and toward labor unions. The men were indicted as an outcome of the [Lockwood Committee's investigations. *hose talesmen who expressed pre- judice against unions declared they did not favor methods adopted by or- wanized labor.
