PR MORENO Ve TELE , “ a . : ARR : \ \ THE EVENING ‘WORLD, ‘SATURDAY, MAY 6,'1922. RAS ee: -Summer-Evening - Wraps « -Ape- Artful. DESIGNS BY MILDRED LODEWICK. Does Your Hat Contorm With Your Personality: ca By Ruth Snyder. Copyright, 1922 (New York Rvening World) by Pros Publishing Co. F THERE Is one part of woman's costuming that needs more atten- tion than another, more: Individu- ality, more variety—it is the hat. The fact {s that-«-woman's personality {s revealed indirectly through the frame for her face surely lends extra force to the argument that her hat must also conform with her personality. And yet how few women there are that pay attention to this fact. Thoy are shown large, small, turban, ple- ture, poke and tailored hats, and so on, ad infinitum. If one hat takes thelr fancy they want it whether it is suitable or not. There are just as many, !f not more, types of woman as there are hats. There's the saucy girl, the flirtatious girl, the quiet—rather shy —sort of girl, the tailored girl, the abrupt, Impulsive irl; the gir! of lively temperament, the superior, haughty type of woman, the ‘“moth- er’’ type, &c., &o. The saucy girl, with large mischlev- ous eyes, needs a hat which will en hance the piquancy of her face. She * needs a colorful hat—not too large ee me eee ee | and not too small, For the present | ¢ season, perhaps a medium sized hat { : of rose color, with a large, saucy rib- ’ bon bow for its trimming. : For the flirtatious girl a black satin hat with small rim over which a black ! lace edging falls mistily, shading the eyes. \ ———— + For the quiet, rather shy sort of | ‘ ae girl, a brown hat of milan straw with | first with red and then with violet, & folled Gein.
