An OTHER SPORTS Notwithstanding the splendid indi- vidual pliying which the mémbers of the Metropolitan All-Star Quintet dis- Played in the contest against the Orig- inal Celtics last night at the 71st Regi- ment Armory, the New Yorkers scored @ 24 to 13 victory. The game was staged in honor of Ernie Reich and quite a large gathering of fans as- sembted in the armory to pay homage to the memory of the former Celtic Captain. To the inability of the All-Star mem- bers to play with consistent team- work must be ascribed the compara- tively high tally which the Celtics held. Each man on the Met team played u good game, George Norman displayed all of the speed character- istic of him. His Brooklyn Dodger teammate, Joe Brennan, who is, inci- dentally, the high individual scorer of the Metropolitan League, scored on a few rather dificult shots. For the Celtics, Barry and Holman featured. Big George Haggerty amused the spectators with his one- hand throws. N Holman passed through the defense of the opposing team several times to score. Barry made nine of the twenty foul points which th. champions had.
