MANY VOLUNTEER FOR KIDDIE CLUB BENCFIT SUNDAY ‘Astor Theatre Matinee Will Swell Fund to Aid Little Convalescents, ‘There was another notable addition | to-day to the already long list of | actors and actresses and screen stars} Who have volunteered their services! in ald of The Evening World's Kiddie Klub Country Fund. A performance extraordinary by these whole-hearted folk is to be given next Sunday after Noon at 3 o'clock at the Astor theatre. The latest volunteer is Brandon Hurst, one of the cast of “Mont- martre,” who will appear in a piano- logue, as he calls it, which is certain fo be one of the most diverting num- bers on the long programme. The Kiddie Klub Country Puna is to be utilized as a means of bringing brightness and chang@ the latter as much as anything else, to the in- ®umerable little children of the city who need a vacation away frem the Moisy crowded streets and the often colorless surroundings in which much of their life is spent, Among the especial beneficiaries of the fund will be the little convales- eents from whooping cough, Dr. Royal S. Copeland, Health Commis- sioner, says that 7 per cent of the children stricken with this disease fail to survive it. Convalescents feom it seem to ha een overlooked by most of the charitable organiza- tions of this city, that the Kiddie Klub would like to} minister, Many of these children «re left in the city during the killing heat of | summer and not infrequently tuber culosis is the dread follower heels of whooping cough w! convalescents are not properly car tor. The appeal in behalf of ones has met with the most response from stage folk those who have offered their Bertram Peacock, of “Blossoin Time Hay, of * * Galina Kops -- nak, Mae Murray, Viola Dana s Eugene O'Brien. Murray hb promised to dance afternoon, | which will present her in a new lig it | to many of those who know er talents only as they are shown upon the screen. { Galina Kopernak is a — actress now appearing in ‘ martre."? She will dance for the die Klub and Russian folk songs. Use Cocoanut Oil For Washing Hair If you want to keep your hair in good condition, be careful what you wash it with. Most soaps and prepared shampoos contain too much alkali. This dries the scalp, makes the hair brittle, und {5 very harmful. Mulsified cocoanut oil shampoo (which is pure and entirely greaseless) is much better than any- thing else you can use for shampooint es this can't possibly injure the hair. Simply put two or three teaspoonfuls pf Mulsifed in a cup or glass wita a Mttle warm water, then moisten your hatr with water and rub it in, It will take an abundance of rich, creamy lather, and cleanse the hair and scalp| thoroughly.
