Mme, Claire Dux, Chicago Soprano, Gives a Concert In the Metropolitan. By Frank H. Warren. The Metropolitan song birds taking ‘Tuesday evening off, as usual, it ®eemed an appropriate timo for Claire Dux, a soprano that the Chicago Opera Company imported this year, to step in and fill the gap with a con- ert of her own. She had the support f the Philharmonic Ore: a fected by Richard Strauss, and was Ustened .to with keen interest by an @udience in which the local music polony was well represented, For Mme, Dux, fair to look upon, known abroad as “golden Claire,” would be &n ornament to any organization, So- brano de luxe is Mme.
