According to the evidence presented to the Grand Jury, the four men #0 licited money from saloon keepers in Linoleumville and New, Brighton. On the night of Sept. 28, It was alleged, the’ men visited seven saloons and asked $50 cach from the proprietors im return for promises of police pro- tection.
