THE EVENING WORLD, WEDNESDAY, JULY 27, MAKE WIFE PAL TOSTAY MARRIED, JUDGE ADVISES Gives Suggestions After Hearing 2,000 Divorces With 1,456 Women Complainants. CHICAGO, July 27.—Amuse your wife by taking her to movies, theatres, on auto rides and swim- ming, thus safeguarding happt- ness, advises Judge Joseph Sa- bath of the Superior Court, who points out that 2,000 cases of marital trouble disposed of by him in ten months show that women complainants outnumber men two and a half to one. In recommending as much en- tertainment as a husband can af- ford, Judge Sabath offered these suggestions: “A husband should confide his business affairs to his wife and she should take an interest in them, “Have children, “Know each other well, before marriage. “Realize the responsibility of the marriage relation, bear and forebear. “Move away from each other's families. Don't live with them. “It is better to live in a simple little love nest alone than in a palace with the members of the families of either one.” In divorce cases he disposed of, 1,456 were filed by women, as compared with 544 by men.
