ERY OVERPHONE PAVE TPON RIVAL TONS. STILLMIAN Girl Making Hotel Reserva- tions for Banker Called Up to Verify Order. A room with twin beds indirectly furnished Mrs, Anne Urquhart Still- man with her first cie to the alleged relationship of her husband and other women, according to a story told to- it 1920, that Stillman was called to the tele- day was in March, Mrs. phone by a young woman employed in the National City Bank, who de- sired to make certain she had car- ried out orders regarding a room in an Atlantic City hotel. The young woman began talking about “the room reserved for Mr. Stillman and yourself," and Mra, Stillman couldn't figure out what she meant and asked “What room?” “The room with twin beds,” the young woman explained, “that was to be reserved in Atlantic City.” Mrs. Stillman told her there must be some mistake, as she and her husband had separate bedrooms when they trav- elled, not one room with twin beds. It was not long until Mrs. Stillman knew all about Flo Leeds. A new story told to-day was that when Mrs, Stillman returned from Europe last November she found the two Stillman homes in the city and the estate at Pleasantville closed against her and Baby Guy. She had been served with papers in the di- vorce sult on shipboard when she sailed away, in July. Mrs. Leeds will not be called as a witness in Mrs. Stillman’s behalf, it was positively stated to-day by the attorneys for the banker's wife. “We have sufficient evidence so far as Mrs. Leeds is concerned,” one of them said, “and we would not call her to the stand to question her as to her relations with James A. Still- man even if she walked into the hear- ing room at Poughkeepsie. The attorneys also stated that, con- trary to pubiushed report, Mrs. Stil man did not intend to bring a divorce action against her husband, that her only intent was to defend herself in the action Mr. Stillman has brough'. Charles J. Waliace, who went to Montreal in Mrs. Stillman's behalf to get certain papers relative to alleged real estate transactions between Mry. Stillman and Fred Beauvais, is pected to return to-day, Some of t papers were said to be in the poss sion of an attorney in Montreal, d seribed as a nephew of Dr. Hugh # sel, the Buffalo osteopath who tes- tified previously that Mrs, Stillman had confessed to him Beauvais's paternity of Baby Guy Stillman, When Mrs, Stiliman returned froia Europe last November. after having been Served with papers in the di- roe fuit at the time of her sailing from this country in July, she found, cording to a story which became public to-day, that the two Stiliman jomes in this city and the estate at Pleasantville were closed against her and Baby It is said that her at- torn . of the be permitted to cecupy any Stillman homes. of the| Children Well — now mother’s sick Don't let sickness spread.
