On Sept. %, 1916, Fox was arfested on the charge of felonious assault. He was discharged by Magistrate Krotel. Tn 1917, he was arrested on a charge of grand larceny; discharged by Magistrate Ten Byck. On Feb, 1, 318, he was again arrested on a grand larceny charge and discharged by Magistrate Marsh, Nov. 2%, 1919, he applied at the Secretary of State's Automobile Bureau for a license to @rtve a taxicab, He was granted this license by the Commissioner? of Licenses, deapite the fact that Fox's finger prints, sent fram Police Head- quarters, Were in the Commiasioner’s possession. On Dec. 15, 1920, Fox was again arrested and charged with stealing an automobile. The Grand Jary did not have sufficent evidence to indict. Fox pleaded not guilty to a charge ot robbery when arraigned before Magistrate Mweetser in Jefferson Market Court, and-was held without la ‘ball $o await the action of the Grand Jury. Fox said he drove Mrs. Talbot to two restaurants on Sixth Avenue, where admittance was refused, and then drove to d4ih Street and Ninth Avenue because she wanted him to purchase tiquor for her and he knew he could get it there, He went into the galoon, Fox said, and when he came out, found Mrs, Talbot stand- ing on the sidewalk outside the taxi.
