"ROBBER GOT AWAY; HOPEFUL POLICE HAVE DESCRIPTION! That's as Far as They’ve Got —But Kindly Allow Them Forty-Eight Hours. The attention of Police Commissioner Enright is called to a prediction made} to-day by detectives attached to the 226th Street Station. Basing their cal- culations on a description given them of a thief who enlivened things in ‘West 111th Street last night when he robbed Hirsh L. Ziegler, a grocer of | No. 302, the sleuths unqualifiedly say that “within forty-eight hours” they will have thelr man. Hirsh Ziegler was reposing against the butter counter in the rear of his | hop shortly after 8 o'clock last night | when a strange young man strode close to him, “What you want? Some butter?” Inquired Ziegier, “No, [ want your money or your life," declared the bad man. Ziegler protested that he had no money and the thief stated he would have to take his life. He drew a revolver and keeping Ziegter covered with one hand he used the other to tap the cash register. Ziegler says the thief was Nervous, 80 nervous jn fact that he rang up almost a hundred dollars and completely disorganized the grocer’s accounting system, Then taking #40 from the till the thief sought to depart. At the door he encountered Mr. and Mrs. Charles Feinberg of No. 311 West 111th Street.
