This has led to a greatly increased demand for electrical household appliances. The so called “Servant Problem” may now be wholly solved by the use of these appliances, either as an aid to home employees or for the homes with- out such employees, enabling the daily work to be done without drudgery or exhaustion and with complete efficiency Service at Very Low Cost With the electric washing machine an hour or two each week is sufficient for the average family, at a cost of about fifteen cents monthly, The vacuum cleaner not only thoroughly cleans, but does so without creating germ-bearing dust. This machine may also be operated at a cost of about fifteen cents each month. A number of dealers arrange to sell washing machines and vacuum cleaners on a deferred payment plan, so that the cost may be extended over a period of time Another Labor Saver The clectric iron, through which the sheat is applied where and to the extent desired, is also a great labor-saver, the cost for which for the usual family averages about seventy cents monthly Several Added Home Conveniences These three “Little Servants’ are the most im- portant climinators of fatigue in home work.
