Sullivan, of Sullivan & Co., brokers, at No. 10 Wall Strect, ‘was arrested in the capital last night released in $25,000 ball. An examination of Sullivan & Co.'s papers and correspondence, Mr, Dooling said to-day, shows that the name of William W. Easterday, who is under indictment bere and elsewhere for grand larceny and who also was indicted if Baltimore for manslaughter, frequently was signed t Sullivan & Co. letters. Numerous entries on the books of the firm show that money was paid to one “J. Hill” for bis expenses on various trips, and for rent on his apartment at No. 264 Mr. Dooling says that the part- ner of the Sullivan firm arrested in Washington yesterday was formerly |} Easterday’s attorney, and represented him after bis arrest in Baltimore on @ charge of mansiaughter, Easterday at one time occupied offices at No, 1418 H Street North- west, Washington.
