Interést on these bonds was defaulted last autumn and James R. Sheffield was selected as trustee by the Interborough-Consoli- dated Corporation to vote the stock under the trust agreement made when the bonds weré issued. Since the flefault the men who took the last mentioned bonds have formed a Protective Committee, of which Col. Grayson. M, P, Murphy, Vice Presi- dent of the Guaranty Trust Company, ia Chairman, Ten days ago this com- mittee reported that 47 per cent. of the 4% per cent, bonds had been de- posited with the committee at the Guaranty Trust.Company.
