~ NATION'S INDUCEMENTS TO 50,000 NEW SOLDIERS FOR FOREIGN SERVICE Enlistment Is for Whi and Is Made Unusually Attractive. In connection with the call for 50,000 men for foreign service sent eut recently by the War Depart- ™ent, Col. Julius 'T. Conrad of the local wost side recruiting bu- feau explains one of the alluring Prospects held out for men to immediately re-enlist. ‘The enlistment is for white men q@aly. The period is for three years. Acceptances in this class @f service are limited to the in- fantry, the fleld artillery, the corps of engineers and the medi- cal department. Men eligible for disgharge and re-enlistment under existing instructions may also be Fre-enlisted, and such men may be retained after an onlistment on ‘thelr present duty until they can be spared or replaced.
