American manufacturers were represented the finest merchan- housewares, fur- victrolas, cre- tonnes, curtains, rugs, lamps, uilts, glassware, silver and silver-plated wares, "shoes, underwear, dress goods, fashions, jewelry, perfumes, leather goods, ete. And the books! And paintings! And the old rare works, like the $75,000 Diana tapestries, the Grinling Gibbons mantel-piecc, the three Dutch panels, A veritable treasure store! Covering the needs of ALL the people. We turned from the stock sheets with a deeper sense of the BIGNESS and GOODNESS of the merchandise —the cornerstone of this business.
