Trooper Barney Harding, Chief Scout of the 4th Canadian Mounted Rifles, soldier of fortune, former Texas Ranger and veteran of three wars, Is to-day mourning the loss of his pal, “Bobby,” also a veteran of the war for democracy, “Bobby” didn't wear a uniform, but he had a soldier's heart and a strong aversion to anything German, Harding, who has been a fighter since he was thirteen years old, lived through all the horrors along the Flanders front, being wounded four- teen times, Aside from his army com- rades he was alone in the world.
