The most noted ocean greyhounde involved in the sale are the Olympic, Adriatic, Baltic, Celtic and Cedric. ‘The Evening World learned from an authoritative source to-day that these giant liners will be transferred to the Cunard Steamship Company under British subsidy and operated in the trade routes of that concern. The transaction will mark the dis- solution of the International Mercan- tile Marine Company, which will be reorganized, probably under the name of the Atlantic Transport Line, as an all-American concern. This company will retain the vessels of the Inter- national Mercantile M. -ine which are how under American registry. Harold A. Sanderson, Chairman of the British Companies, arrived here from England Tuesday with particu- lars of an offer made by @ British Syndicate for all the vessels of the International Mercantile Marine fleet except those flying the American flag. The syndicate is headed by Lord Pirrle, head of Harland & Wolf, of Belfast, and Sir Owen Phillips, head of the Royal Mail Steam Packet Com- pany.
