The thin woman simply must learn to lighten the tension if she is to hope ever to gain flesh and health, She must cultivate repose of mind and body. To this end she must avoid all forms of violent physical labor, whenever that is possible, must take no strenuous ex- ercise, must avoid long, fatiguing walks, and get at = least eight hours of sleep in every twenty-four.
