_€ER EVENING WORLD, MONDAY, MAROH 18, 1918, _ To the Fathers and Mothers of New York School Children SWHIS week all the school children of New York have enlisted in the service of Uncle Sam to help back up the boys on the seas and in the trenches. They are buying War Savings Stamps for themselves, they are asking their friends and relatives to buy them, and they are organizing War Savings Societies. They are doing a big work for Uncle Sam and a great work for themselves. This campaign will teach them the value of thrift, and this means that they will become better and more prosperous citizens. Help the children all you can. Encourage their own buying— help them to sell stamps to others—and buy as many as you can yourself. Remember the boys who are giving their lives that we may be safe.
