Bush is being held in New York in connec- tion with blackmailing operations. Corcoran said that three men repre- senting themselves as Federal officers called at his place of business on the date named and served him with a warrant, charging him with violating the Mann White Slave Act. Corcoran insisted that he was not guilty, but the alleged officers started to take him to jail, While on the way they explained to him how he could get free, but that it would take $5,000, and he consented.
