Assistant District Attorney Lazarus is heading an investigation of the theft of more than $200,000 worth of cocoa beans stolen in New York Har- bor in the last two years and sold to cocoa and chocolate manufacturers. The crusade is assisted by Louis Runkel, President of the Cocoa and Chocolate Manufacturers’ Associa- tion, and other traders, and it is hoped wealthy purchasers of the stolen mer- chandise will be captured. This decree was em- bodied in the report of the Styles Committee of the association. The committee reported that the form-fitting coat still would rule as correct, but that it would be longer and bear a narrower lapel and nar- rower collar than last season. Spring coats will be skeleton lined, unpadded and will run to crescent-shaped patch pockets, Vests will be single breast- ed, cut lower and bear no collar, and the trousers will be narrow, Changes were also decided upon for full dress suite, The front of the coat will be longer, the collar and laps narrower and there will be an outer breast pocket. The white silk vest should be U-shaped this season, the committee asserted, and there should be narrow braid on the trousers.
