Through Fear of Scolding. While the police were «sarching the Greater City for sixteen-year-old Margaret Lamberti, missing three ays, sho appeared early to-day at the door of her home, No. 19 Meirose Street, Brooklyn, and told ber brother @he had taken poison. She then collapsed and was taken to her room, where doctors from St. Catherine's Hospital used the stom- ach pump before taking her to the hospital, apparently out of danger, ‘@n4 charged with attempted suicide. She refused to tell where eho had been, what she took or why she wanted to dic. The girl is an operator and started to work at the usual hour last Tues- day morning. Wednesday her mother, Mrs. Angeline Lamberti, unable to get ‘any trace of her, reported her missing Feau in Willioughby Avenue, and had &@ general alarm sent out. ‘The girl was noticed about the stoop of her home last midnight, and when he found her. About all he could get from her was that sho had taken nm yesterday morning. Her fam- fair they knew of, and the only reason they assign for her attempt to die was that she feared a scolding for Being away from home so lone.
