Many interesting things are brought up and many funny state- ments are made by witnesses that cause more hearty laughs than one would get at a vaudeville show. The commission was in an excep- tionally lenient mood at tts weekly meeting yesterday. It was the ten- dency to excuse and tell offenders to “@o away and sin no more.” Mickey Donley, a featherweight boxer from Newark, was on deck with a complaint against John Reis- ler. @ was chaperoned by his brother. Donley complained that Reisler paid him, or offered to pay him only $26 after his recent bout with Otto Hansen in Brooklyn. Donley declared that the first time! that he met Hansen he was knocked gut, but he received $75 for his work. He said that upon the occasion of the first bout he was ab- gent in Milwaukee. “Is that why Donley got $75 then?” asked Wenck. Reisler said that he made an agreo- ment with Weismantel to the erfect that Donley, upon nis own sucKes- tion, waen't to get a cent If he didn't beat Hansen, but if he won he wanted to be paid accordingly Reisler said that after the bout he was offered $25 for Donley's work, but that he refused it, as he said that Donley was worth more than that sun. Either take Reisler or your brother, but drop one of them.” Mickey declared: “Then I'll take my brother." “I'm satisfied,” shouted Reisler, A letter was read from Manager Willie McDonald of the Olympic A.
