He expects that thousands of dollars will be placed at the disposal of the au- thorities of Georgia to be used in running down the men who hanged Frank. Herman A. Mets, Treasurer of the Committ has received pledges of financial support and a few contribu- tons. At a meeting this afternoon in the Woolworth Building, Judge Swann of the Court of General Sessions, Tem- porary Chairman of the Committee, urged that an executive committees of one bundred be named to handle the movement. (Special to The Evening World.) ATLANTA, Ga., Aug. 20.—Authori- ties of Baldwin and Cobb Counties, Georgia, will be formally “urged” by Gov. Harris to “exert utmost efforts to bring to justice members of the party that lynched Leo M. Frank.” Gov. Harris announced to-day that he will request Judges, Solicitors General and Sheriffs of Baldwin County, in which the State farm located, and of Cobb County, where Frank was killed, to call on him in his office here to discuss the matter and will ask them to make “every effort to ascertain the guilty parties.” If more than that, together with the offering of rewards totalling $1,500, the denunciation of mob rule and the customary promise to “investigate thoroughly” hag been done by any Olficials, State or county, it is not generally known, Whether more will be done is a of conjecture.
