“OO HELLO GIRLS STICK TO POSTS; FIRE ABOVE THEM Blaze in Eagle Building Cuts Off Thousands of Patrons in Two Exchanges. nd Fifty telephone girls stuck to their poste at 5 A. M. to-day during a fire in the Eagle Building, Nos. 61 to 67 Franklin Street, an sight-story struc- ture in which the New York Tele- phone Company has its Worth and Franklin exchanges. The twenty-five girls of the shift of the Franklin exchange were on the seventh floor, directly below the flames, but although a volume of emoke drifted into their windows not one left her post. The twenty-five Worth exchange girls on the second floor did not get any of the smoke, and like the ones on the seventh floor remained on duty. An automatic alarm brought the firemen. In a short time thousands of telephones in the Franklin and Worth exchange districts were out of com- mission. Many of the merchants who do a big early morning business largely through telephone orders were com- pletely cut off from their customers. ‘When attempts were made to reach them by phone customers were told there was an indefinite delay. ’ Thin Folks Who Would Be Fat a Increase in Weight Ten Pounds or More. which proven: from being taken up by ite remark- able. flean be used by who are not willing to tncrease th elemht ten pounds or spore.—Adv This Leaves the Skin Free From Hairy Growths (Toilet Talks) A simple method for completely re- moving every trace of hair or fuzs is pet Bh This is painless and usually a sgl treatment will banish even stub- wths. Robertson Names Miss Mina Tempest, Named in Another Case, Corespondent. ‘The fact that Edward F. Robertson, a millionaire importer of No. 27 Ferry Street, went into the fashionable Sonoma Apartments in a pepper and salt Norfolk sult and emrged hours later in a black sult, led to the dis- covery by his wife, Mrs, Laurien C. Robertson, of No. 200 West Fifty- eighth Street, that he was maintain- ing Miss Mina Tempest in lavish style. Mrs, Robertson told of her hus- band’s duplicity in a suit for divorce filed in the Supreme Court to-day. To-morrow the case will come up for trial in Justice Delahanty’s part of the Supreme Court. This is not the first time that Miss Tempest has figured as corespondent in divorce proceedings. Last January she was named in a successful suit brought by Mra. Mildred G. Hell against James E.
