UNCLE'SAM’S BE PV ERY AUNDAY—TW ETERNAL CITY Dy HALL OMINE with (ACTING PREDEIICK CANDLER §;,42" 57; vod Aas [END CLEARANCE SALE}: The ordinary clothing merchant carries the ends of his suitings to the dull seasons, January and February or July and August, before he cuts prices, in hopes that he will dispose of some of his ends at the long price. My idea is different. The only way I can make a ; profit at ~ prices is to turn my stock completely every so often. That keeps everything in my store practi- cally brand new. I shouldn’t have an end from one season to another, and in order to accomplish this, it is necessary two or three times a year to clean up these goods that I don’t have enough of in stock to sample out to different stores. This is my clean-u season. The Security Trust Company, one of Hartford, Conn.’s, big banking institutions, administrators to the estate of a recently deceased tailor who sold high priced clothes to measure, sold me this past week some two thousand yards of ends that I must clean out in order to sell reg- ular stock. Some of these suitings sold as high as $30, $35, $40, absolutely all wool and worsted. i. Serges, Black and Blue Clays, Oxford Mixtures, Tartan Plaids, all the fine Drapes that this tailor sold for full dress suits, irrespective of his prices, my price suit to order, $10.00 These goods are ranged in a fine i in my store so every man can be periment proved #o It be repeated, and museum | intings, will again be seen h », July and ee 8. t ex t de N 1 eee k's Ae MONDAY, MAY 3, 1918. mt >i L Fant, at | se astpes Se : a —— wee ALMAND 36 ¥, nOoY MAti OW PHONE ORDERS HiLtED a ee ay om NO Kecvivers’ Salea NO Liquidation Sales aw bee but Latest Style eee THEATRES Siew vom LP AnEsY Dependable, Me THrarins EMPIRE. in Fullest Assortmen ALL we STAR PAID FOR IN LYCEUM {4 fs2 MISS ANGLIN NEW AMSTERDAM) « WATCH YOU My, @ Mrs. Vernon Castle Wat Tomer Liegteld Danse de Follies Agr ates ee GINGHAM WEEK 1}!
