Women Favor ‘Troopers | Who Have Surrendered. —omcemngyane LONDON, Sept 8—(Asaociated Press).—There are at present about 6,000 German suspects and prisoners of war in the concentration camps of Great Britain. | There campa are located at Alder- shot, Newbury, Dorcnester, Queens- berry, Lancaster, Edinburgh, Dyfrim Hall, near Chester, and Templemore, Ireland, The Aldershot camp is at Frith Hill, At Dorchester the men are in barracks. The Newbury camp is on the famous race course, and two disused factories are being used @t Queensberry and similar accom- modations have been secured at Lan- caster, The Irish station at Temple- more is using the military barracks for the housing of prisoners, and Edinburgh has a large camp in the open. Dyfrim Hall ts a large coun- try mansiop and has been given over to the use of officers, If another camp isneeded it will be located probably at Salisbury Plain, the famous military centre. The Aldershot camp, like others in the open, 1s surrounded by a barbed wire fence ten feet high, around which and at a distance of about twenty feet there is a ring of wire en- tanglements five feet broad. The pris- oners here are all men who would be serving in the German army if they could get out of the country, together with men suspected of spying.
