His de confession, as he calls it, has been writ- ten out and will be forwarded at once to the Minister of Justice, C. J. Doherty, for investigation. Battista iiys the society, of which he was & membor, had long collected sub- eeriptions from ‘heir countrymen newly @arived in America. ‘The subscribers were tok’, Battista declares, that the money thus obtained was to be sent to the Royal family at Rome.
