Girls Copied Hawthorne's Sig- nature for Wide Use, It Is Charged. How the {lustrious name of am 1l- lustrious father is alleged to have been dragged in the mire, in furtherance of a gigantic scheme to defraud thousands of innocent and unsuspecting investors was described to-day by Assistant United States Attorney Thompson to Judge Hough and « jury in the Federal Court at the trial of Julian Hawthorne, Josiah Quincy, Albert Freeman and Dr. Will- jam J.
