Josiah Quincy, who had been legal adviser for Freeman, became the legal adviser for the new combination of mining and Iiterature. The Government charges that he had @ullty knowledge of the sale of stocks through the mail by meane of criminal miarepresentation and of sharing in the Profits, Mr. Quincy and his friends in- sist that he served merely as the law- yer who drew up the incorporation papers for the mining properties.
