MISSING GIRL OF 16 IN GRAVE TROUBLE RIGHPARENTS FEAR Evelyn Dupre, Who Vanished a Week Ago, Threatened to Run Away to Avoid School. POLICE NOW IN HUNT. Last Seen on Street Corner by Chum Who Saw Her Part of the Way Home. An extensive private search having failed to get any trace of sixtean- year-old Dupre, daughter of wealthy broker of No, strect, Brooklyn, who vanished week ago, the parents of the girl called upon the police to-day to Join in the search. It was stated by the mother of the wim to-day that her pretty daughtor had threatened to run away rather than f0 to @ boarding school, She had left home without a penny of money, hatless and wearing a light summer dress. The Dupres occupy a handsome brown stone house in a brown stone nelghbor- hood. They have many wealthy friends and rejatives in Brooklyn, all ef whom have joined in the vain search for the missing girl. So far as can be learned she was ast seen by her young friend, Catherine Von Hagen of No. 1362A Bergen street. She was sitting on the front stoop of her home with her mother after supper when Mies Von Hagen came along and asked her to come to her home to make fudge. Mra. Dupre urged her to go and she walked down the stroet with her girl friend. ‘When she got to the Von Hagen home she joined a party sitting on the stoop, ‘The conversa became so interesting to the two young girls that the fudge. making project was abandoned.
