And New York women may be hand in hand with Parisiennes—owing to our foresightedness. Weeks ago we carefully studied the Blouse situation in Paris and then imported the most beautiful Lace Blouses created for the present season in Paris—ordi- narily this vogue would not reach New York until some months hence. We do not believe in waiting! One must see these Blouses to appreciate the exqui- site real laces, and how artistically they have been com- bined, as neither mere words nor the sketches can de- scribe their beauty. However, we have endeavored to illustrate one of the Blouses—of Duchess lace, inset with narrow panels of fine black net, cleverly hand- stitched with white, also set i of rose chiffon and em- broidery, to give a bolero effect. The sleeves are par- ticularly charming, as they are the new, straight kimono style with under-sleeve of fine net, edged with double frills. This Blouse is $70. Other Blouses are entirely of real Venise lace, and those of real Irish lace are also indorsed by Fashion. Where laces have been combined, one sees not only the hand-work of an artist, but the cleverness of a nius, as in this Blouse of real Venise, Baby Irish and ‘ilet laces, joined by narrow insertions of very fine thread lace, with touches of silver late. Imported Lace Blouses, $10.75 to $145.00. Real Irish Lace Blouses, $12.75 to $126. Dominating Features of $50 to $150 French Models Repro- duced in Net Blouses, $6.95, $8.75, $10.75 and $12.75 That these Blouses have become the talk of New York within a few days is quite easy to understand, because we have had French models so marvelously reproduced. These Blouses are of fine Brussels Net, trimmed with fine shadow laces and chiffon. Some have billowy side frills, others have the new Elise Poret neck frill, and all have delightful wrist frills—wide ones, 100 a vie Sale of More Than 40,000 Handkerchiefs Makers do not wiliully produce large surpluses of Handkerchiets, but when they have too ey they stand their loss like majors, to get the handkerchiefs quickly out of their sight. Main Floor Again: $2 Broadcloths at $1.10 Yard It only needed a few days of eager buying to break up the color-assortment of these wonder- ful Imported Broadcloths, at the extraordinarily low price of $1.10 yard. But we discovered that the importer was still holding 5,000 yards more of these same Broad- cloths in bond; so we drew on his reserve, not only for the colors that had disappeared, but for some that were not previously included, such as pe4rl, silver, scarlet, Burgundy, Havana, holly, champagne and others. So that, as before, there are more than thirty superb shades from which to choose the material for Fall and Winter tailored suits. 50 to 52 inches wide, thoroughly sponged and shrunk, in a medium weight, and splendidly finished. $1.10 yard.
