= ‘TRUMBULL WEDDED '= ~ FIRST WIFE IN 1 2 IN ENGLISH CHURCH She Is Living in London With Their Two Children, | It Is Learned. | The District-Attorney's office in Brooklyn, investigating the, alleged Wgamous marriage on Aug. 3 last of Ndward with the wealthy Miss Katherine 8 Dreter of No. 6 Montague Terrace, has| learned that the young man, on Nov. 30, 1908, in St. Michael's and All Angels Church, Bedford Park, London, was married to Miss Sarah Loulse Jane Pearce and that the couple have two children, They afterward lived at Shepherd's Bush and were known as Mr. and Mrs. Edward ‘Trumbull. This was learned to-day by an Even- ing World reporter after Assistant Dis+ trict-Attorney Leroy Ross, who ts in charge of the investigation, had visited Deputy Police Commissioner Walsh at Brooklyn Police Headquarters. After a long conference Mr. Ross reluctantly admitted that the object of their meet- ing was the Trumbull-Dreler marriage. He was unwilling to say more, but | finally told some of the results of the efforts he iad made to find out the truth of the strange affair, FIRST WIFE DECLARED To BE OF GOOD FAMILy. | “Trumbull's first wife is a young wo- man of good family,” said Mr. Ross, “We know exactly where she is and I expect to be in communication with her fn a day or two. We shail learn the| whole truth from her and if a crime | has been committed you may be sure this office will set a prosecution on foot. | “Their wedding was a chureh affair and they lived together until a year ago. The children are with the mother, I understand,” Mr. Ross would not tell where the mother @md children are living at present. When pfessed, however, he would not deny that they are in Lon- don. “Why did Trumbull and his first wife separate?” he was asked. “I don't know the exact cause of their disagreement,” he answered. “No, I cannot say whether he deserted and their children or whether she him, Our investigations have et covered the Kround of a possi- wal separation under the English ‘Trumbull-Smith, the . Ross said he did not know tf mbull’s first wife was an artist's as had been reported. The reagon is obvious. Women whose social duties occupy most of their time do not feel like setting aside several hours for a trip to and from the shampoo parlor, hence the growing popularity of the home-shampoo. The use of canthrox is gaining favor because it requires little work and after a canthrox shampoo has been enjoyed the scalp is spotiessly clean and the hair takes on a delightful lustre and fluffiness. Canthrox shampoos ar> excellent for | allaying itching and correcting all sealp and hair troubles.
