He proposes a stone and marble alifice to be built in Washington, D.C. Once enrolied the names of the dead wht be inscribed in the book of “angels,” and the only creed shall be “that of the angels.” The Bishop's invitation says | ali peats in the church will be free and the grounds wi!l be “walled about with stately evergreens.” Geisel’s project was brought to lent through @ family on the West Side who recetved an invitation to enroll the name of their deceased daughter in the “Book of Angels,” but the Post: Office Inspec: | tors of this city and of Phtladetphia | have had in thelr possession copies of | the letters and other information for | some time. “Bishop” Geisel is a young man and | a brother of the Rev. George Geisel, pastor of St. Mark's Dpiscopal Church | in Basking Ridge. He says he con- cetved the idea of a “Universal Church” about two years ago, although it was only about @ month ago that he began to look up death notices in the daily papers and send out his appeal for the payment of one dollar or more for “God's Cathedral.” Of the funds which he has already collected, $150 came from Mrs, Mary Herriman, while the balance of about $400, 1® understood to have come in one dollar subscriptions. It is the plan of Mr. Geisel to collect about $1,800,000. —s__—_ Big Store in Washin: 5 WASHINGTON, Dec. 9.—Fire at 3 o'clock this morning destroyed practi- cally the entire contents of the large retail furniture store of Jackson Broth- ers.
