This not only beats the best track record of 2.32 1-5, made by Hermis in {903 at Brighton, but it is close to the world’s mark of Goodrich, at Chicago, 1898, 2.30 1-4. Goodrich, however, carried only 102 pounds, while Charles Edward packed 126.
