Y:;; July 27.—Nine persons at least are,dead as a Tesult of the burning of the steamboat Frontenac, plying between this "city and Cayuga on Cayuga Lake, off Farley'sh Point, this afternoon. ~ Seven bodies have been recovered and others are believed to be in the EC tuins of theboat or at the bottom of the lake. The identified dead are: Mrs, Homer Denung, of Ohio. Carl Denung, her son. Miss Azalia C. McCreary, of Cohoes. : Three dead women and a little girl remain unidentified. Many of the passengers, of whom there were about 200 aboard, were badly bumed. They are being cared for in farm-houses, near the ac *>gcene of the accident by doctors who were rushed to Farley's Point by automobiles and special trains from Auburn, Cayuga and this city. Of the crew of twelve men all are reported saved. The boat was “about a mile out when the fire was discovered, and was headed for shore under full steam.
