Many of the Bodies Recovered Burned Beyond Identification — New Yorkers Among | Those Injured—List of Dead | May Be Increased. | (Special to The Evening World.) HARRISBURG, Pa., May 11.—Twenty-one persons are known to be dead and sixty-eight were badly hurt in a dynamite explosion following a collision between the Cincinnati and Clevéland express on the Pennsyl- vania Railroad and a freight train at South Harrisburg to-day. Inqui pouring in from New York and Philadelphia concerning persons known to have been on the train, but who have not reported to the railroad offi- cials here, leads to the belief that the death list will eventually be much larger. ‘The wreck caught fire. immediately after the collision. The flames communicated with a car loaded with tons of dynamite in ihe freight train. This exploded in a series of detonations. TRAIN BLOWN TO PIECES, 'yhe first explosion literally blew the passenger train to pieces and {umbled twelve cars of the freight train from the track. + curious combination of circumstances led to the wreck, MAS In the Grat (Continued on Second ase ) * GIANTS AND ST.LOUIS PLAY IN HARD GAME BATTING ORDER.
